Dr. Aly B. Khalil is a consultant endocrinologist and adjunct associate professor at UAE University, UAE. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Marseille, France. He completed his training in Internal Medicine at Queen’s University and specialized in Endocrinology at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Khalil is a Fellow of the Canadian College of Physicians and is American Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Diabetes and Endocrinology. He has also been a past fellow of the American College of Endocrinology and is a Fellow of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE).
Dr. Aly B. Khalil has achieved several notable accomplishments throughout his career. In 2002, he successfully established the first intensive care unit at SKMC Abu Dhabi. Additionally, in 2005, he established the first thyroid cancer program at SKMC and, since 2013 until April 2023, he has been involved in the thyroid program at ICLDC. Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Khalil has held various senior clinical and leadership positions in both North America and the Gulf region. He has served as the President of the Ontario Diabetes Association of Canada and held the position of past president of the American Association for Clinical Endocrinologists Gulf Chapter.
Dr. Khalil remains actively engaged in education and research. His publications demonstrate his interest in a wide range of diabetes and endocrinology topics, with a particular focus on thyroid disorders and interventional thyroidology.
