Dr. Mohammad Rami Al-Ahmar, MD, JB, stands out as a distinguished physiatrist specializing in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Neurorehabilitation and spinal injury consultation. He assumed the role of General Director at renowned Hospital in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Al-Ahmar’s journey began with his medical education at Damascus University (Syria), where he earned both his MBBS and MD degrees in 2000. Subsequently, he completed his residency training in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Jordanian Board PM&R) in 2008. His expertise was further honed during a Spinal Cord Injury Fellowship at Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Hospital in Oswestry, UK, in 2012.
Previously, Dr. Al-Ahmar held pivotal roles, including serving as a Consultant PM&R and Head of the Spinal Injury Unit at the Jordanian Royal Medical Services (RMS)—King Hussein Medical City. His leadership extended to prestigious positions such as Educational Committee member and Middle East/North Africa representative for the International Spinal Cord Injury Society (ISCoS). Notably, he is also the Founder of the Middle East North Africa Spinal Cord Injury (MENASCI) network.
Dr. Al-Ahmar’s commitment to advancing rehabilitation practices is evident through his role as an Expert for the World Health Organization (WHO). He significantly influenced the development of new Guidelines for Interventional Package Rehabilitation 2030, launched in June 2023. His accolades include the ISCoS & ASIA Award for Best Research in Pressure Ulcer and Bacterial Strains (2015, Montreal, Canada) and the United Nations Medal of Administrative Competence (2008).
