Dr. Shahid Rashid

Dr. Shahid Rashid is a Specialist Paediatric Surgeon at Reem Hospital. He graduated in 1983 and completed his master’s in surgery in 1992 from Pakistan. He served for 10 years in major academic institutions in Pakistan. He completed his fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 1997 and obtained the Fellowship of the European Boards of Paediatric Surgery in 2011.

He relocated to the UAE in 1994. During his career in the UAE, he dedicated 31 years at prestigious hospitals as a Specialist Paediatric Surgeon. His responsibilities included inpatient and outpatient care, as well as emergency cases involving neonates and paediatric patients. He has a keen interest in invasive surgery and has contributed to the education of undergraduate students and interns at the respective institutions where he has worked.
Dr. Shahid is committed to advancing his field through participation in various workshops to regularly update his skill set.
Additionally, Dr. Shahid is a member of the Emirates Medical Association’s Paediatric Surgery Society.
